Medicare Part D Plans help to cover the cost of member’s prescription drugs.  We can help you choose the plan for you based on your prescription drugs by an unbiased government site.  Even if you don’t take many prescriptions when you are first eligible, you should consider joining a Medicare drug plan to avoid a penalty. Here are some of the main features of a Part D plan: Provide help with the cost of prescription Are offered through private insurance plans Are usually offered two ways: 1. As a standalone plan to add coverage to Original Medicare Parts A and B and to complement a Medicare Supplement Plan 2. As part of a Medicare Advantage (Part C) Plan Have a specific list of approved drugs they cover (called a formulary or drug list)
